Forest View
Forest View joined the Forest of Dean Trust in 2024.
Why did you join the Trust?
It was crucial for Forest View to join a trust that was focused on the unique needs of the Forest of Dean and to join a trust that was aligned with our educational vision and goals.
One of the key factors that attracted us to the Forest of Dean Trust was their emphasis on creating strong relationships within the educational community. We believe that building collaborative partnerships with other schools and stakeholders is crucial in raising educational standards.
The Trust's commitment to serving the community resonated with our school ethos. We strive to provide an inclusive and well-rounded education that actively involves the local community in our curriculum and learning initiatives. Joining the Trust will further enhance our ability to strengthen these ties and better serve our pupils and their families.
Another determining factor was the Trust's speed of support. Through close collaboration with other schools in the Trust, we have access to a wealth of resources and expertise, enabling us to provide timely and tailored support to all of our pupils and to share the expertise that we have within Forest View. Every school is seen as an equal within the trust and every member of staff seen as a valuable asset.
The Trust's investment in staff development and training strongly appealed to us. We believe that equipping our teachers with the necessary skills and knowledge is vital in delivering high-quality education. The Trust's commitment to professional development ensures that our staff are continually advancing their practices and developing within a strong team of professionals.
The Trust's focus on mental health aligned perfectly with our school's values. We believe in prioritising the mental well-being of our students and staff, and the Trust shares this dedication. By collaborating with colleagues across the Trust, we are able to adopt best practices and implement effective strategies to support mental health within our school community and across the entire trust.
Forest View Primary School's decision to join the Forest of Dean Trust was driven by a desire to not only secure the future of the school but also to be part of an organisation that is focussed on collaboration and community. Through this partnership, we are confident in our ability to continue delivering high-quality education that meets the needs of our increasingly diverse pupil population and to effectively serve the wider Cinderford and Forest of Dean community.
